Can't Sleep

Another walk late at night,
only thing that feels right.

In the shadows a dog trails,
once again, my god fails.

Fuzz on my brain,
in an endless misty rain.

Bartender asks “another drink?”
on the verge of ‘very hard to think’.

11 Silver, Under Pressure, Muzzle,
an older, naïve couple cuddles.

‘Straight Outta Compton’ penetrates my ears
angry past the point of tears.

Happily married yet so alone,
time to make my way back home.
