The Soldier

Duty - Honor - Vigilance

Ever wonder what it is like being a Soldier in the United States Army National Guard? What about a Sailor in the United States Navy? Ever wonder what it's like being in the military at all? Let me tell you the good, the bad, and everything in between. I have over 16 years of military service, on both the U.S. Navy Explosive Ordnance Disposal teams, as a Construction Supervisor in the Washington Army National Guard, and currently as an Operations NCO with an Army Liaison Team. I have both served on active duty and in the reserves, amassing over 11 years of federal active service. And I enjoy it, and all it has to offer, immensely.

Inside these pages you will be able to catch a glimpse of what it truly means to be a member of our armed forces. I promise to show you the good, the bad, and the wonderful! All from an unbiased, non-recruiter, point of view.

Operation Iraqi Freedom 09-10

These pages will also reflect my current deployment in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom (OIF). You'll find many photos, videos, anecdotes, other interesting information, and poetry inspired by military life and my deployment experiences.

I hope you enjoy perusing these pages. Feel free to send your comments and opinions; it is a freedom I'm proud to defend.

If any of this interests you to the point of starting your own career in the military please feel free to contact me. I can arrange for a recruiter to contact you and act as your personal, unbiased guide through the enlisting process.

HOOAH!
